Historic Hudson Valley is hosting a new event, Winter Wonder Lights, at Washington Irving's Sunnyside in Tarrytown
The designers envisioned an oversized sleeping Rip Van Winkle as a centerpiece for their display. If standing the figure would be over 14' tall. Nino sculpted the reclining figure in Styrofoam and plaster. It was later molded in silicone rubber and cast in fiberglass.
The polychrome paint finish was expertly applied by our staff of artists.
